When I am weak, He is Strong

“He said to me, "My grace is enough for you because power is made perfect in weakness." So I’ll gladly spend my time bragging about my weaknesses so that Christ’s power can rest on me. Therefore, I’m all right with weaknesses, insults, disasters, harassments, and stressful situations for the sake of Christ, because when I’m weak, then I’m strong.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 CEB

Well, these verses are straight forward but today, I just wanna talk about how God uses our weakness.

We have much weakness honestly and sometimes so many to where we think we cannot overcome them.

I know there have been many times when I’ve been super weak to the point where I’ve questioned God. Like God, why are you letting this happen? Why me? I’ve been doing everything right, I go to church I read my bible, I’m a good kid. So like God, why is this going in my life. I don’t see anyone else struggling with this.

And you know the funny thing, is God won’t give you those answers right away he will answer them when you least expect.

Sn: I know many people say that you’re not supposed to question God, but how else can you get your question answered. God is the perfect person to ask questions because you’ll always get the correct, whether its what you want to hear or not.

So yeah back to the topic. In the verse, it says my power is made perfect. God knows what he’s doing. All those battles and trials, we may be facing during a vulnerable time in our life, is showing us God's power and how great he is. God is bigger than any problem we face, and if we can just depend on God in our weakest moments, he will give us the strength and power to overcome.

God lets us become weak for a period of time so that we can lean more towards him. When we’re weak, we will depend on God more, rather than if everything was good in life. So in moments like this, it’s just another of showing how good God is. Weakness leads you to strength. Then sometimes God will make you weak to show you, that you need him. That you can’t handle everything on your own, or you can’t tackle this thing called life by yourself. No matter what we may face in our weakness, God will be there to help.

Prayer

Dear God,

I thank you for all that you are doing and all that you are going to do. I pray that the weakness that I’m having in life right now, will not overcome because you are stronger. Help me to trust and lean more towards you, in my weak moments. Thank you for being strong when I am weak.
