In Luke chapter 12 11-12 he says “don’t worry about how to defend yourself or what to say. At that time the holy spirit will teach you what to say.”
Have you ever been in a moment when something happened in your life, or someones else and you just don't know what to say? Or maybe you have played out in your head what you're going to say when you approach a certain situation, but when the time comes you don’t say anything that you intended.
Well, no worries! You shouldn’t be worried about saying the wrong thing as long as you let God lead you. The Holy Spirit is here to help us translate what God wants us to say. It's so hard to be caught in the moment to think of something to say, so next time just ask God what it is that he wants you to say.
Funny story. So with me being away from college, I hadn’t talked to one of my friends recently, btw she’s in nursing school. So I felt the urge to pray for her in my spirit and this was around 1 a.m, so I was already tired but I did it anyway. The next day I ended up texting her and asking how was school and she mentioned that it was good but she’s mentally drained. I then proceed to tell her that I prayed for her last night, and she said she needed it. At that moment, I was like wow God I see what you’re doing. When I look back at that situation, I was in awe at how amazing God is and how he works because YALL. I was tired that night and I didn’t even want to pray. But when you feel something in your spirit it's best that you don’t ignore because you never know who you could be helping along the way.
And Honestly, that’s all God wants from us!
Prayer,
Lord, I thank you for being a Good God, I’m so ungrateful but you still come through for me. I thank you for the Holy Spirit and I pray that the next time I'm in a situation and I don’t know what to say, that you would just give me the right word and courage to say it. Lord, I thank you for all that you’re doing in my life and I pray that you can use me as a living vessel among your people.
