Be Happy

“Happy are people whose lives are harassed because they are righteous because the kingdom of heaven is theirs. “Happy are you when people insult you and harass you and speak all kinds of bad and false things about you, all because of me.”

When living the righteous life, there will be people who criticize you for doing good, or they may try and drag you back into your old ways. As soon as people see you doing good, you know what they say. “They think they got it all going on,” “They acting brand new,” and things like that. In this verse, God says be happy that these people are talking about you. It means that you’re doing something right. Yes, living the righteous life is not all peaches in creams. We will go through things in our Christian walk. We are not expected from trails in our life, but that is why Jesus died on the cross. So that we may have a chance to get it right. Honestly, we may never get it right, but as long as you’re trying. He said that our reward would be greater in heaven, then it is on earth.
